This room needed some TLC and I’m not speaking to the “stuff” on the bed….more to the lack of a focal point within the room. The furniture in this room was pretty much all the same height making it difficult for the eye to rest anywhere.
This was going to be an easy fix though. All that was needed was a bit of a furniture re shuffle and something to draw the eye to the bed.
So, I found this substantial artwork that fit very well into my clients Global Eclectic vibe. (I coined this decorating style for my client. Pretty cool, right?) I hung this artwork above the bed with the bottom of it coming level with the top of the tall dresser. The dresser I repositioned to the other side of the bed for better balance within the room. |
With only a very small investment ($60.00 of artwork purchased at Home Goods) and a reshuffle of furniture we made a big impact in this room.
I would love to hear your comments on the redesign? Do you like it? Why, why not? What could we do in one day in your space?
